Description: The client was charged with a third-degree felony for domestic violence exposing him to five (5) years of state prison. After consulting with our firm, we were able to develop an effective strategy to handle his case. Client’s matter was initially referred to the prosecutor’s office at the Superior Court level. Through our diligent investigation and negotiation, we convinced the prosecutor’s office to downgrade the charge to municipal court. Once at the municipal level, we were able to aggressively negotiate the matter to a dismissal of all charges. Our client received an expungement thereby avoiding a conviction and any prison/county jail time.
